The Jacksonville Detachment 059 of the Marine Corps League was honored to host the District 3 Annual Meeting at the iconic VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in downtown Jacksonville, Florida.

This annual gathering brought together Marine Corps League leadership, Detachment representatives, and fellow Marines and FMF Navy Personnel from across the district to conduct official business, exchange ideas, and reinforce the bonds that unite Marines—past and present. The meeting served as an opportunity to review accomplishments from the past year, discuss goals for the year ahead, and strengthen collaboration among detachments throughout the district that includes detachments in Duval, Clay, Nassau, and St Johns Counties.

The meeting was led by District Vice Commandant Bill Nantz, whose leadership and guidance ensured a productive and professional annual meeting. Jacksonville Detachment 059 was also honored to welcome John Gionet, Commandant of the Marine Corps League Department of Florida, along with members of his staff. Their presence underscored the importance of unity, mentorship, and shared commitment to the Marine Corps League’s mission across the state.

Jacksonville Detachment 059 was proud to have a strong turnout for the meeting from our Detachment as well as the rest of the District. including many of the Detachment’s newest members were in attendance—demonstrating a growing interest among younger veterans who are eager to get involved, give back, and carry forward the traditions and values of the Marine Corps League. Their enthusiasm and engagement reflect a bright future for the Detachment and the organization as a whole.
